gcp.storage.create_bucket

Create a Google Cloud Storage bucket

Creates a Google Cloud Storage (GCS) bucket with standard LTINTEG configuration.

The bucket is created with uniform bucket-level access enabled. When the workflow completes, the bucket is ready to receive objects.

Inputs:

  • bucket_name: Name of the GCS bucket (required). Must be globally unique.
  • location: GCP region where the bucket will be created (optional, default: US).
  • storage_class: Storage class for the bucket (optional, default: STANDARD).
  • connection_uuid: Cloud connection UUID for GCP credentials.

Outputs (terminal state_data):

  • bucket_name: str — confirmed bucket name
  • bucket_url: str — GCS bucket URL, e.g. gs://my-bucket
  • location: str — region where the bucket was created
  • storage_class: str — storage class of the bucket

Compensation: Use gcp.storage.delete_bucket to undo. Plugin required: context.get_plugin("gcp") must expose .get_storage_client() and .get_project_id_for_connection().
